"Sweeney Todd" Soundtrack Climbs Higher on "Billboard 200"

According to Playbill The Nonesuch Records release of the soundtrack to Tim Burton's "Sweeney Todd" film climbed again this week on "The Billboard 200" chart. Featuring the pared-down score from the film, the soundtrack includes Johnny Depp in the title role with Helena Bonham Carter as Mrs. Lovett, Alan Rickman as Judge Turpin, Timothy Spall as Beadle Bamford and Sacha Baron Cohen as Signor Adolfo Pirelli. Nonesuch Records released two versions of the film's soundtrack of Stephen Sondheim songs: the first was a "Highlights" disc, which featured specific songs from the film. The second was a "Deluxe Edition" CD, which featured all of the songs used in the film and an 80-page booklet of fully colored images from the movie and lyrics.
